ITANAGAR, Nov 17: The All Arunachal Pradesh Students’ Union (AAPSU) said it is “not happy” with the behaviour of some sections of the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Combined Competitive (Mains) Examination (APPSCCE) qualified aspirants and “ringleaders” who came up with the idea of protesting and stalling the examination.
In a press release on Saturday, the AAPSU said “any competitive examination or interview cannot go as per the whims and fancies of candidates,” and that they should have been prepared for any eventuality.
The AAPSU called on the competent authorities to “conduct immediate inquiry into the whole fiasco, find who started the whole problem, and hold those ringleaders responsible.”
The union said the aspiring candidates should not have resorted to such extreme steps which have given rise to “so many divided sets of aspirant groups espousing their own interests.”
It said it stands by and empathizes with the candidates who could not sit for the exam due to security failure, and urged the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) to find an amicable way out.
The AAPSU also lamented the “recurring administrative goof-up” of the APPSC, saying it has time and again “created such chaos and mistrust.”
