KOLORIANG, Dec 12: A civic action programme was organized by 138 Bn CRPF in Koloriang, Kurung Kumey on Tuesday. Altogether 77 number of water purifiers were distributed to the needy families of the remote localities of Koloriang area. A medical health camp was also conducted by unit medical officer with the support of medical officer and staff of Koloriang hospital in which 110 patients were treated and necessary medicines were distributed to needy patient for their better health.
On the occasion Paras Nath, Commandant, Dr Anshuman Ranjan of 138 Bn, CRPF, Deputy Commissioner, Kurung Kumey Santosh Kumar Rai and Dr Tailyang Nime, Medical superintendent, Chera Talo District hospital were present. DC appreciated the programme conducted by CRPF and also appealed to the public to support the police and CRPF for maintaining law and order.
Commandant138 Bn CRPF Paras Nath in his address to the mass said that this type of programme will help the poor and needy people of the Koloriang in prevention of water born disease
and focus should also be on the cleanliness of surrounding environment.
Meanwhile, Solar lanterns were distributed to the people of Palin, Kra-Daadi district by the 138 BN of CRPF as part of their Civic Action Programme(CAP) on 10 December last.
A health camp was also conducted for the locals on the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, 138 BN Commandant, Paras Nath urged the public to maintain cordial relations with neighbours and to refrain from communal clashes. He also said that the CRPF personnel are ever ready to donate bloods whenever required.
Lauding the team of 138 BN CRPF for organizing CAP, Circle Officer, Noklem Wangjen said that such activities help in effective control of anti-social activities by miscreants and help bridge the gap between the local public and security personnel.(DIPRO)
