Dear Editor,
The APPSC even after so many blunders did not learn anything from its mistakes. While they took a lot of time to conduct examination for recruiting teachers but it seems that they have not scrutinized the application of the candidates properly. How were commerce graduate issued admit card for the post of TGT in Economics? As many of the Economics graduate (Honours) had English and Hindi paper during their graduation in their course the pertinent questions is were we eligible for TGT in English and Hindi? Because the vacancy for the language subjects were greater in numbers. If the subject in which one has done their graduation is not important then why were the TGT post categorized into different subjects? Why not go for one single post i.e TGT for Social Science? That could have improved the probability of success for many. This is beyond comprehension. In an already competitive job market Economics graduates are made to compete with students of another stream in the only job avenue left for an arts graduate. Even if we score well enough in our own subject papers It wont be an impossible task for a non economic graduate to score more than a genuine Economics degree holder with 200 mark of General knowledge and general English paper on offer.
Commission to come clean on this issue. Please stop making a mockery of the institution. It is your doing so correct it. We are not asking for anything illogical.
Sincerely,
An Economics student

Dear Editor,
It has been informed that commerce graduates are also appearing for the post of TGT Economics, which is not right. When Economics graduates are not qualified for the post of Accountant how can commerce graduate be qualified to teach economics. These are two different subjects with different set of papers. If the reason to allow commerce graduate to appear for TGT Economics is that commerce has a Economics paper, then going with the same logic, Economics as well as Geography has a paper of statistics in their syllabus (Economics even have a paper of mathematics) , does that make economics or Geography graduate eligible to teach statistics or mathematics? If commerce graduates are qualified then from next time it must also be declared that economics graduate can also apply for the post of accountant as well as for TGT mathematics since we also share a paper. The commission should truly look into this matter as soon as possible because Economics graduate cannot be made to suffer in order to accommodate other subject.
Sincerely,
A confused candidate
