ZIRO, Jan 16: Former minister and senior Congress leader Padi Richo in a letter on Thursday sought to draw the attention of the Lower Subansiri deputy commissioner to the problems confronting the people, particularly of the Ziro-Hapoli assembly constituency, because of the delay in completing the Trans-Arunachal Highway (TAH) project.
“Though verification of the TAH to remove anomalies, particularly compensation payment, has been conducted, the inordinate delay in submission of the report has created a lot of misgivings among the people,” Richo said.
He urged the DC to make the verification report public before 24 January, saying he (Richo) would otherwise stage a hunger strike in front of the DC office from 25 January.
