BASAR, Mar 6: The Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) here in Lepa Rada organized a ‘Kisan Mela’ at the ITBP ground here on Wednesday.
According to an information from the KVK, more than 25 stakeholders, including government departments, ITBP, NGOs, Self Help Groups and progressive farmers showcased various technologies in the field of Soil Science, Crop Science, Plant Protection, Nutrient Management, Animal Science, Home Science, Forestry, Fisheries, skill development, etc during the mela.
A farmer-scientist interaction programme was also held for finding on-the-spot solution to all kinds of technical problems of the farmers.
The mela was inaugurated by ITBP DIG Ashwani Kumar Dogra and chaired by Joint Director, ICAR Arunachal Pradesh Centre Dr. H. Kalita.
KVK head Dr. Chitrangad Singh Raghav led the team of scientists from the KVK in conducting the Mela.
More than 1000 farmers, entrepreneurs and rural youths attended the programme.
