ITANAGAR, Mar 7: The Itanagar MLA Techi Kaso on Wednesday inaugurated three new villages namely Tago, Yijo, Mogli-Pop and a boxing ring here under Ganga Panchayat.
Addressing a gathering, Kaso said with the formal inauguration of the three new villages, the villagers would be able to get benefits from state and central government schemes.
He said people have lot of aspirations from him and vowed to continue to work to fulfill those aspirations. While praising the initiative of the opening of new boxing ring in the village, Kaso urged parents to let children actively take part in sporting activities besides study.
Capital Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Talom Dupok called upon the villagers to maintain civic amenities and cleanliness and also regularly plant trees.
Youth leader Teli Duli spoke about the new villages while Ganga boxing Club Chairman Teli Kahi briefed about the existence of the boxing club since 2011. He informed that club has produced several boxers who have gone on to represent state in various national level events.
City BJP President Tarh Soping, Itanagar BJP Mandal President Tadar Patung, LO to Capital DC S Chakrabaorty, former ZPM Taro Modi, former Ganga ASM Chairperson Teli Yami, former IMC Councillor Bogum Jini Teli, businessman Taro Tagia, social worker Biri Tabiak, Teli Raja, local residents and villagers were among those present on the occasion.
