Legislators apprise MoS of dist’s concerns

NEW DELHI, Jun 17: Arunachal Pradesh Tourism Minister Nakap Nalo, along with Daporijo MLA Taniya Soki, Dumporijo MLA Rode Bui and Taliha MLA Nyato Rigia called on union MoS (Independent Charge) for Sports & Youth Affairs, Kiren Rijiju, at his official residence here on Monday.
The legislators drew Rijiju’s attention to several issues affecting their home district, Upper Subansiri, the major ones being developing the Paka-Mebi-Geko national highway, which connects the district to Assam; reviving the defunct NHPC hydropower projects in Menga and Nava; and the need to upgrade and maintain the inter-district BRO road from Taliha to Tato.
Expressing empathy with the concerns raised by the legislators, the MoS said he would all he could to ensure the success of the projects.
