IFCSAP organizes cleanliness drive under SBM

LIKABALI, Jun 17: The Indigenous Faith & Cultural Society of Arunachal Pradesh (IFCSAP) organized cleanliness drive and a tree plantation programme under the Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM) at the Central Donyi Polo Gamgi here in Lower Siang district on 16 June.
More than 300 people from Likabali, Gensi, Kangku and Nari-Koyu circles, and officials of the IFCSAP participated in the programme.
Apart from cleaning the Central Donyi-Polo Gamgi premises, more than 200 trees were planted in and around the Gamgi and nearby areas.
Likabali PHED JE Shailendra Kumar Gupta highlighted the objectives of the SBM, which aims to improve the levels of cleanliness in rural areas and making villages open defecation-free, clean and sanitized by 2 October, 2019.
IFCSAP general secretary Bai Taba and the organization’s Lower Siang unit vice president Goken Gara also spoke on the SBM and the activities of their organization.
