TAWANG, Jun 26: Following reports on vandalism by an alleged mentally unstable person on the official residence of Tawang ADC B Nyorak, villagers of Bomja and Khet met the ADC on Wednesday and expressed disappointment on the incident.
Led by former Anchal chairperson Namgey Tsering, the villagers said that “the accused was in a state of depression and under the influence of alcohol as he has been confronted with personal problems for the past few days.”
Dispelling reports of the involvement of a third party or individual, the villagers also apologised to the ADC and other concerned people in general, requesting him to pardon Nguidong, considering his unstable mental health and family problems.
Presently, Nguidong is under police custody at the Tawang police station.
