Miao-Vijoynagar road to be constructed by all means: Governor

VIJOYNAGAR, Aug 30: Governor BD Mishra has assured the people of Vijoynagar circle in Changlang district that the Miao-Vijoynagar road “will be constructed by all means.”
The governor gave this assurance during his address to the people here on Friday. He said the purpose of his visit was “to see for myself the challenges which the people of Vijoynagar are facing, and to find solutions to the problems.”
He said the state government is concerned about the welfare of the people here, particularly with regard to constructing the Miao-Vijoynagar road.
The governor emphasized on promoting education, health, and agro-based enterprises for developing Vijoynagar, and took note of the need for strengthening these sectors.
He advised the students of the circle, particularly the girl students, to be sincere towards their studies and keep themselves physically fit.
Mishra visited schools, health centres, and the Assam Rifles company post here, and interacted with the public, government officials, security personnel, ex-servicemen, army widows, ASHAs, and students.
He also distributed salt among the people here as the area is facing severe shortage of salt.
The governor also received a memorandum seeking early construction of the Miao-Vijoynagar road, telecom facility, and regular air service. (Raj Bhavan)
