NARI, Nov 11: Members of Ramle Banggo Students Union (RBSU) and Takam Mishing Porine Kebang (TMPK) came together to fill the potholes of the 3.5 Kilometre Road between Boikontopur and Nari, in Lower Siang.
According to sources, the initiative undertaken by the students’ bodies from both end was supported and participated by local residents in large numbers.
This, while the participants from both ends of the border agreeing that their respective governments have failed them miserably in failing to keep a mere 3.5 Km road free from potholes.
Later, wrapping up the day’s work, the representatives of RBSU and TMPK appealed their respective governments i.e Government of Arunachal Pradesh and the Government of Assam to come to the aid of the locals in keeping the road smooth.
