YACHULI, Jan 20: Education Minister Taba Tedir inspected the divisional commissioner’s (DC) office here in Lower Subansiri district on Monday.
Tedir carried out the inspection in order to “physically identify alleged encroachments in the earmarked area for establishments under the divisional commissioner.”
“To establish a full-fledged divisional commissioner, the infrastructures have to be created steadily in a planned manner. Encroachments will stall the development activities,” he said, and strongly cautioned people against encroaching on the proposed site.
“The present government seeks to accelerate developmental activities in places conducive for work. One of the vital points being encroachment-free lands, which allows executing agencies to work without any hassles,” he said.
The minister interacted with the officers and officials of the DC office, and assured to look into the mobile connectivity and electricity problems faced by the people here.
Tedir was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Chukhu Takar, Yachuli ADC JT Obi, town planning officials, GBs, and landowners of the area. (DIPRO)
