AALO, Apr 4: Liromoba MLA Nyamar Karbak has directed the supply department to provide the monthly quota of TPDS food grains under the National Food Security Act (NSFA) to every ration card holder of his constituency, comprising Liromoba, Yomcha, Kamba and Darak, immediately and free of cost in view of the food scarcity caused by the lockdown.
The MLA assured to bear the cost of the food supplies. This is in addition to the supply of free food grains announced by the state government earlier.
West Siang DDMO Nima Dorjee, who is in dealing with home-quarantining people and providing relief to migrant labourers, said 1646 migrants labourers have been invited to receive relief assistance, and eight migrant workers have been given shelter in the relief camp at Aalo Club.
Six persons are observing quarantine in the inspection bungalow, Dorjee said.
DSO Dr Jombom Kato informed that 445 people are under home quarantine, while 141 students are being monitored constantly and 49 people have completed 14 days of mandatory home quarantine. (DIPRO)
