ITANAGAR, Apr 10: The animal husbandry, veterinary & dairy development (AHV&DD) department’s deputy director, Dr Mini Hankar, breathed his last at a hospital in Guwahati (Assam) in the wee hours of Friday.
He had been admitted to the hospital for a stroke treatment on 3 April.
Dr Hankar leaves behind his wife and three children.
The Arunachal Pradesh Veterinary Association (APVA) has termed Dr Hankar’s death a great loss to the veterinary fraternity and the department.
“He was a clean-hearted and straightforward person and had actively participated in all activities of the association. His contribution towards the department and the association will always be remembered,” the APVA said in a condolence message.
The association conveyed condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for courage and strength to the family.
