COs to assess schools in Capital

ITANAGAR, Sep 26: At least four circle officers from the Capital Complex have been directed to carry out verification of all the schools regarding mid day meals, infrastructure etc, so that proper assessment of schools could be worked out.
This was informed by Deputy Commissioner Prince Dhawan during a coordination meeting convened on Tuesday with the principals and headmasters of all the schools of Capital Complex at the Higher Secondary School, Itanagar.
He called on them to improve the overall quality of their schools, including the quality of education and infrastructure, and to submit a comprehensive report of their respective schools to Circle Officer Moyir Kato, who has been made the nodal officer.
Dhawan also asked the heads of schools to pursue for the land allotment of their schools as soon as possible, and to submit a report on basic infrastructural requirement, like furniture, besides issues like shortage of textbook.
Depending upon the urgency, he assured to try and meet some of the requirements.
He also urged them to keep a check on both student and teacher absenteeism and to submit regular report in this regard so that appropriate action could be taken on both.
Later, the DC asked the Principals/ Headmasters to ensure participation of the students in the nationwide campaign Swacchta Hi Sewa on the occasion of the third anniversary of Swachh Bharat Mission.
In this regard, the DC has also personally written a letter addressed to each student to take part in Swachhta Hi Sewa and appointed the students as Swachhta Sainanis and outlined their duties.
Among others, Capital Complex DDSE, Mallo Yam Gollo also attended the meeting. (DIPRO)
