YINGKIONG, Oct 9: The 3 MAHAR Regiment of the Indian Army, under Siang Brigade, in collaboration with the Upper Siang District Administration is organising Tuting Festival to highlight the cultural, religious and tourism potential of Tuting circle and to enhance the bond between the local populace and the army.
A number of events, including Swachhta Abhiyan, football tournament, adventure camp and drawing competition for school children, folk song and dance competition, traditional games competition, cultural shows and fete by civil and army were conducted as part of the festival, which began on October 2 last.
Earlier, the festival commenced with ‘Swachhta Abhiyan’ on October 2, which saw an enthusiastic response from the civil populace and civilians.
Tuting ADC, Kabit Apang and other government official also participated in the cleanliness drive. (DIPRO)
