PASIGHAT, Oct 22: The Management Committee of Government Gandhi Secondary School, Pasighat appealed to the authority concerned of the Education Department for early posting of Science teachers in the school.
The School Management Committee (SMC) in a meeting on Sunday discussed the problems faced by both the school authority and students due to absence of teachers.
Two contractual science teachers, who were posted under RMSA in 2016, have resigned in February 2017 after their services were regularized. Following this, the school authority had submitted application requesting the East Siang DDSE for posting of at least two Science teachers, informed the school administration.
SMC Chairman cum Councilor Omem Darang urged the authority for reliever teacher in place of any contractual teacher(s) for the betterment of the students.
Established in 1963, the school currently has 387 students.
