ITANAGAR, Oct 28: IMC Ward 7 Councillor Ngurang Yachi on Saturday appealed to the local resident of her ward to help the IMC in maintaining the cleanliness of the area.
Attending a social service programme as part of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan in Division-IV, Yachi informed that the IMC has launched a door to door collection of garbage in almost all wards under the IMC in the Capital Complex, and that it was the responsibility of everyone as good citizens to maintain cleanliness and dispose their garbage in the IMC vehicles which would make rounds daily.
Among others, Rural Development & Heritage Society Chairman Tamchi Niania and IMC Engineer Bamang Sanjoy also participated in the drive. Dustbins were also distributed to few locals of the ward on the occasion.
