BJP refutes PPA allegation of insulting MLA

ITANAGAR, Nov 1: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Arunachal Pradesh has refuted the Peoples Party of Arunachal’s allegation of insulting and humiliating a local MLA .
Responding to the allegation state BJP Chief Spokesperson cum Vice President Dominic Tadar said that the PPA legislator of Tali Assembly constituency, Er. Markio Tado was personally invited by the state BJP President, Tapir Gao to attend the Tali Maha Development Rally on Oct 30. Later, he was invited to the State BJP office wherein he came and agreed to participate in the rally, party said.
The team comprising of the Chairman of organizing committee, District BJP President and Mandal President of Tali area also met him and briefed him about the programme with an invitation to join the development Rally. On Oct 30, Gao again invited the MLA to accompany them in the chopper carrying the CM, Union Minister for the Rally, the BJP said.
The BJP always expects positive criticism from the responsible opposition party adding that allegations of wasteful show of strength of state resources to undermine local MLA are unusual. Instead of levelling allegation, the PPA should have extended full support for the development of the most underdeveloped assembly segment in the state, the BJP said.
Describing the purpose of Maha Rally, the BJP further said the PPA should rather appreciate the CM and Union Minister for practically taking stock of the present developmental scene at Tali.
Expressing surprise over the question raised on presence of Union Minister Kiren Rijiju in the rally, the BJP said that Rijiju being the local MP and the representative of people has every right to hear the problems of the people.
