NAHARLAGUN, Nov 1: Kanubari MLA Gabriel Denwang Wangsu has called upon the people to work with all sincerity and commitment to make Hahshe Rusa a model village in real sense.
Laying the foundation stone of the Chief Minister Adarsh Gram Yojana at Hahshe Rusa in Kanubari constituency on Monday, Wangsu said the past excellent work records has helped Hahshe Rusa earned the model village scheme.
Since MNREGA and NERCORPMP projects were successfully implemented in the village, the MLA hoped that the Adarsh Gram Yojana too would be a reality and become a role-model in all aspects.
Besides roads, electricity, water supply, the village would have a multi-storied community hall, the MLA said while calling upon the villagers to give their best to develop the village.
EAC N. Borang briefed the villagers about the Adarsh Gram Yojana scheme and urged them to extend support for successful implementation of the programme.
Hahshe Rusa has high potential for economic growth, he said and underscored the need to involve all sections of the society to complete the mission.
Earlier, the MLA laid the foundation stone amidst huge gathering of HoDs and officials besides Panchayat leaders, GBs and general public. He also visited various colonies of the village and took stock of the road conditions. DIPR
