ITANAGAR, Nov 18: The Arunachal Justice Forum (AJF) has in a release on Saturday condemned the recent statement issued by Chief Minister Pema Khandu regarding handing over of PDS scam case to CBI for inquiry.
It stated that the PDS scam case is being monitored by the judges of the Gauhati High Court and is under trial court at North Lakhimpur as per the Gauhati High Court order.
‘How can the Chief Minister overrule the High Court’s direction now when charge sheet has already been framed against the accused,’ the Forum questioned, adding that it will be amounting to contempt of court.
The Forum further said that the Chief Minister has no moral right to remain in his post as he, along with his family are also allegedly accused in the PDS scam.
