2nd batch training on measles-rubella vaccination

Naharlagun, Nov 19: As a part of preparedness for Measles-Rubella Vaccination Campaign to be conducted throughout the state during February, 2018, the second batch state level training of district level trainers for remaining 12 western districts was held at Naharlagun on November 17 and 18.
Targeting children of age nine months to below 15 years, the campaign will be held with the technical and logistic support from WHO, UNICEF, ITSU and Ministry of Health & Family Welfare.
Speaking on the occasion, State Immunization Officer, Dr D Padung stressed on house-to-house survey, listing and meticulous planning adhering to the guidelines for the success of the immunization campaign.
Special Secretary (H) and MD (NHM), Dr Tapasya Raghav assured all possible support to ensure successful implementation of the MR campaign in the state.
DHS, Dr M Lego exhorted all the participants to adhere to the timelines prescribed by the state authority.
The two-day training programme deliberated on operational micro-planning, communication, monitoring plan and proper reporting documentation through resource persons from ITSU, WHO and UNICEF, Delhi office.
Earlier, the first batch training for eight eastern districts was conducted at Dibrugarh in Assam.
The Measles Rubella Vaccine would be introduced into the Routine Immunization Programme, which will be available free of cost at every government health facility of the state.
