ITANAGAR, Nov 20: The All East Kameng District Students’ Union (AEKDSU), in a representation to the Secretary Education, demanded cancellation of mass teacher transfer ordered in East Kameng district claiming that it is adversely affecting classes.
The district students’ union condemned the Education Department for making the irrational move of issuing mass transfer order to numerous teachers in mid-academic session.
The Union argued that mass transfer of teachers would affect the teaching process as well as lower the morale of both teachers and students.
“It would take quite some time for both the students and teachers to get acquainted with each other”, said AEKDSU, adding that hundreds of teachers are said to be transferred by the authority under rationalization of transfer and posting of teachers.
The Union further blamed the Education Department for poor performance of the students in CBSE examination results, claiming that mid-session transfer and posting of teachers attributed to the dismal performance of students in the AISSCE results of 2017.
