ITANAGAR, Nov 22: A day long State Level Science Exhibition was organized by the Directorate of Secondary Education here on Tuesday at the auditorium of Government Higher Secondary School, Itanagar.
The exhibition was based on, “Innovations for Sustainable Development”, which saw the participation of budding scientists from 26 different schools of the state.
The first prize of the State Level Science Exhibition-2017 was bagged by Sudit Tamang of Government Higher Secondary School Sinchung, West Kameng district, while Tabom Nilling of VKV Kuporijo, Upper Subansiri district came in at second place, followed by Mahish Nath of VKV, Nirjuli in third place.
Attending the science exhibition, Director of Higher and Technical Education, Dr Tayek Talom appreciated the performance of the students and encouraged them to carry on their endeavours with resolute determination.
He also encouraged the students to avail such opportunities and create awareness about sustainable development.
Chairman of the event and Director of Secondary Education, Gania Leij encouraged the young scientists to excel in this field through sincerity, determination and dedication. He also called on teachers to encourage students to take part in such activities.
