Bomdila Bar Association on two-day strike

BOMDILA, Nov 27: The Additional District & Sessions Court Bomdila Bar Association(ADSCBBA) launched a two-day strike from Monday, following the alleged non-release of outstanding bills of penal lawyers of the Additional & District Sessions Court, Bomdila.
In a letter addressed to the Secretary Law and Judicial on November 23, the ADSCBBA had requested immediate release of outstanding penal bills of (penal advocates) worth Rs 2, 984, 250.
The Bomdila Bar Association claimed that the penal bills of other district court penal lawyers have been received, and that it was painful to learn that the current penal bills of West Kameng Court were still awaited.
The Association also informed that the penal advocates of the district had received Rs 50, 000, but there are still pendiong bills from the last four years, which is posing difficulties for penal lawyers in conducting their penal obligations.
