TEZU, Dec 5: On the first leg of his tour of his constituency, Veterinary, Animal Husbandry and Art & Culture Minister, Dr Mohesh Chai took stock of the developmental schemes being implemented in Tafragam and Tezugam villages on Tuesday.
Chai was accompanied by Lohit Deputy Commissioner, Karma Leki, Superintendent of Police, Isaac Pertin and government officials during the visit.
Addressing a meeting at the Tafragam community hall, Chai asked the villagers to place their grievances before the visiting government officers. Responding to a public memorandum, the minister informed that some points of the memorandum have already been approved by the government, and assured to take up the other issues at the earliest.
The deputy commissioner informed the gathering about the importance of linking Aadhar cards and bank accounts for actual implementation of social schemes.
Other officers spoke on the achievements of their departments in implementation of various schemes, and also highlighted the problems in achieving the desired targets.
In an interactive meeting with the public, the officers assured them to resolve their grievances at the earliest. The department representatives also asked the public to visit their offices for enquiries on the benefits of social schemes.
Panchayat members, goan burahs, senior public leaders, and villagers took part in the discussion.
Earlier, Dr Chai inaugurated the RCC Bridge over Taprum Nallah at Tafragam, in the presence of the DC and the SP.
