WASE receives threat

PASIGHAT, Dec 7: The NGO, Women Against Social Evil (WASE), on Thursday received a death threat through a letter from an unidentified person.
The letter was reportedly delivered through post to the husband of the WASE president, Gagam Ering, dictating that he should ‘control his wife from doing social work.’
The letter also included the name of WASE General Secretary, Joya Tasung Moyong, and stated that the WASE would face consequences before the arrival of Solung in 2018.
The WASE has filed an FIR against the unknown person(s) at the police station here, and vowed to continue working for the betterment of East Siang district.
The WASE is an NGO working towards eradicating social evils, especially the drug menace, in East Siang district.
