IMC appeals for timely service charges payment

NIRJULI, Dec 9: Councillors of the Itanagar Municipal Council (IMC), led by Deputy Chief Councillor Tarh Nachung and IMC Executive Engineer Tadar Tarang appealed to the residents of the Capital Complex to pay service charges on time to ensure the success of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
Tarang said the charges (traders – Rs 200, residents – Rs 100, and vendors – Rs 50) per head was low and should be paid voluntarily as the IMC has engaged 22 labourers for the cleaning operation.
He also requested the Naharlagun Bazaar Welfare Committee to allow the IMC to do the cleaning work in their place.
Earlier, UD and Housing Parliamentary Secretary, Techi Kaso distributed dustbins in Ward 29 here on Saturday on behalf of the IMC.
The dustbins were installed at identified locations for proper use.
