AALO, Dec 11: West Siang District Election Officer (DEO) Swetika Sachan has asked officials who have been requisitioned for election duties for the Likabali by-election to perform their duties with sincerity in order to avoid any lapses.
She was addressing about two hundred officials during a first-level training conducted in view of the by-poll to the Likabali Assembly Constituency seat which has fallen vacant after the demise of Health & Family Welfare Minister Jomde Kena.
ERO Lijum Ete in his address dwelt on the Election Commission of India’s guidelines, and urged HoDs to forward the names of the officials as sought by the election office.
Resource persons, ADO Yompe Ado, ADI Geto Ori, CDPO Bhai Koyu and Marge Lomi briefed the participants on the roles, duties and responsibilities of presiding and polling officers. (DIPRO)
