ITANAGAR, Dec 14: PWD Parliamentary Secretary Techi Kaso on Thursday inaugurated the cement concrete (CC) road connecting Chemi and Ganga villages.
“It (the road) was a long-felt demand as the villagers of the area were facing a lot of inconvenience due to the poor condition of the road,” Kaso said.
He said that development is possible only when the public and the government officials work together “with zeal and mission.”
In response to a request from the residents, the PS directed the officials concerned to “immediately prepare” a DPR for the construction of a culvert over the Dhokoso River in Ganga village. He also directed the contractor to “immediately complete” the drainage system and protection wall along the road.
Kaso informed that the CC road, measuring 1 km, was constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 1 crore under the SIDF.
