AALO, Dec 19: The West Siang District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) has issued an advisory to the offices and business establishments here to ‘replace outdated equipment and install fire extinguishing equipment’ in their offices and establishments.
The advisory has been issued in view of the frequent fire accidents witnessed in the township in the recent past.
The DDMA directed that fire extinguishing equipment be installed by technical teams after demonstrating to the users the use and installation of the equipment.
It has also directed the Fire Service OC to conduct a survey of the town and provide training at offices and market areas on the use and installation of fire extinguishers by 31 December. (DIPRO)
