TEZU, Dec 19: The Lohit district administration is gearing up preparations for the Parshuram Kund Mela, which is organized every year in January, coinciding with Makar Sankranti.
In order to facilitate visitors, the administration has proposed a new route to the mela, which will offer travellers ample opportunity to discover the scenic beauty of Lohit.
This year, with the opening of Dr Bhupen Hazarika Setu, pilgrims and tourists can take a detour from Tinsukia-Makum-Doomdooma-Rupai-Talap-Dr Bhupen Hazarika Setu-Islampur crossing-Sunpura-Tezu-Demwe-Tohanggam-Parshuram Kund, informed administration. (DIPRO)
