ITANAGAR, Dec 21: The All Arunachal Pradesh Elementary Teachers’ Association in a representation to the chief secretary on Friday urged him to direct the director of elementary education to cancel the recent regularization of teachers, saying the teachers were unfairly promoted in contradiction to all norms.
The association said the director of elementary education regularized over 100 teachers as junior teachers without conducting proper interview, ‘thereby depriving other assistant teachers, who have been serving the state since 1992, of their promotion.’
It also claimed that some of the SSA teachers have been appointed directly as regular teachers through the teacher eligibility test.
