Post-poll security arrangement reviewed

SEPPA, Dec 23: East Kameng District Election Officer Rajeev Takuk convened a meeting here on Saturday to chalk out a comprehensive plan for security preparedness and arrangement during counting and post-poll period of the by-election to the Pakke Kessang assembly constituency.
To keep the roads open for hassle-free movement of vehicles and pedestrians on the counting day, which is on Sunday, Takuk, who is also the deputy commissioner, has ordered restriction on loading and unloading of goods and parking of vehicles along the Seppa township road, from the town gate to Bebo Colony.
Police personnel and magistrates have been directed to be deployed at all strategic locations of poll areas, and in and around Seppa township.
Superintendent of Police, Vikas Kumar, ADC T RTapu, EACs Pama Bagang and Atin Padung, DySPs SN Phaichelupa and Ringu Ngupok, Election Coordination Officer DK Thungon, and other administrative and police officers also took part in the discussion. (DIPRO)
