TEZU, Dec 26: Art & Culture Minister Dr Mohesh Chai inaugurated a newly-constructed school building and the computer training centre at the Amik Matai Vidya Mandir here in Lohit district on 26 December.
The day also coincided with the foundation day of the Akhil Bharatiya Vanavasi Kalyan Ashram (ABVKA), the parental body of the Arunachal Vikas Parishad (AVP).
Dr Chai lauded the AVP for its services in the field of education, and for providing medical services in rural and remote villages of the state. He also emphasized the need to encourage girls’ education.
Among others, ABVKA Organising Secretary Krishna Bhede attended the programme.
