ITANAGAR, Dec 26: The state government has rejected the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission’s (APPSC) proposal to introduce aptitude test in place of optional papers in the APPSCCE Prelims.
The APPSC released this information through a press communiqué on Tuesday.
It informed that the preliminary examination to be held afresh by the Commission will be held ‘strictly as per plan of examination in the APPSCCE Rule 2001 and as notified by the Commission vide advertisement No PSC-R (A)/09/2016 on 9 May, 2017.’
The Commission said it would schedule the fresh examinations in April-May, 2018. However, it said, ‘the exact date of examination shall be decided after consulting the examination schedule of the Union Public Service Commission, Rajiv Gandhi University, Central Board of Secondary Education and Staff Selection Commission.’
The APPSCC Examinations were held on 26 November, following which, candidates who found several anomalies in the question papers demanded fresh examinations.
