ITANAGAR, Jan 4: The combined annual training camp of the Arunachal Pradesh battalion of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) under the Tezpur division is currently underway at the Rajiv Gandhi Government Polytechnic here.
The training, which started on 1 January, will conclude on 10 January. Four hundred cadets, both boys and girls from Arunachal and Assam, are participating in the camp.
A number of activities are planned for the ten-day long camp, which includes cleanliness drives, weapons training, firing, drills, cultural programme, and the like, aimed at instilling bonhomie and leadership qualities in the cadets.
Instructors and NCC officers from schools and colleges, accompanying the cadets as associate NCC officers and caretaker officers, along with 20 Army instructors are also participating in the camp under the supervision of Camp Commandant, Lt Col NK Bishnoi.
