SHILLONG, Jan 5: A team of the Arunachal Pradesh state unit of the National People’s Party (NPP) headed by its President Gicho Kabak participated in an election rally of the party held at Polo Ground here on 4 January.
A host of party leaders including national NPP President Conrad K Sangma, Manipur Deputy Chief Minister Joy Kumar Singh, MLA James Sangma, and Kabak addressed the rally.
Meghalaya goes for assembly elections in February this year.
On the sidelines of the rally, Arunachal’s NPP leaders had a meeting with party leaders including Sangma and General Secretary Vivek Raj, ‘wherein they assured all possible support to strengthen the party in Arunachal Pradesh,’ according to party release.
