LONGDING, Jan 9: Security forces apprehended an NSCN (U) militant from Zedua Colony here on 8 January.
Khungam Pansa, self-styled Private of the outfit, was apprehended on Monday night during an operation conducted by the Longding battalion of the Assam Rifles, Kohima-based Defence Spokesman Colonel C Konwer informed in a release.
A pistol, live ammunition, and opium were seized from the nabbed militant, who had been actively involved in extortion activities in Longding district, the release said.
