ITANAGAR, Jan 25: Tourism Secretary Dr Joram Beda on Thursday advised the Hunar Se Rozgar Tak trainees and members of the Arunachal Pradesh Tour Operators’ Association to become skilled and take up self-employment avenues.
Dr Beda was addressing an event organized by the Tourism department at the State Food Craft Institute here on the occasion of National Tourism Day.
Highlighting the importance of cultural tourism, he spoke of the various opportunities provided by the state government for starting entrepreneurship in the tourism industry.
Organized with the aim of creating awareness on the importance of tourism for the growth of the economy, the programme was attended by officials of Tourism, Planning, and Research departments.
The Changlang district Tourism department also observed the day in Miao, where District Tourism Information Officer Khoda Yakang spoke about the immense possibilities of tourism in India, especially in Arunachal Pradesh.
“Our state is an unexplored region, with beauty that can mesmerize anyone who visits here,” she said.
