ITANAGAR, Jan 30: Retired district medical officer, Dr Bomjum Kamki breathed his last on Monday at a hospital in Dibrugarh, Assam, following a brief illness.
His body was brought to his native village Kamki, in West Siang district, on Monday night.
Dr Kamki completed his MBBS from Silchar Medical College, Assam, in the late ’70s, and earned his Masters in Hospital Administration from North Carolina University, USA.
After joining government service, Dr Kamki served as MO in different places of Arunachal Pradesh. He retired as West Siang DMO a few years back.
The Hirik Hiru Students’ Union deeply mourned the demise of the senior member of society.
Describing his death as an irreparable loss to the society, the union said the void created by his demise cannot be filled. It prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and for strength to the bereaved family to bear the loss.
