KOHIMA, Jan 31: Security forces held an NSCN (R) militant from Changlang on Wednesday.
Honglant Pangtha, the self styled private of the banned outfit was apprehended during an operation conducted this morning by the troops of the Assam Rifles deployed in Changlang under DAO Division, informed Kohima based Defence Spokesperson Col C Konwer.
Allegedly, he was trying to extort money from Changlang town.
A pistol and live ammunitions were seized from the militant, the spokesperson said.
