NAMSAI, Feb 14: The Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) of Namsai district under ICAR-RC for NEH region, Basar, conducted three days vaccination cum awareness programme for poultry chicks of Vanaraja and Kalinga Brown variety along with duck var.
Medicines were distributed to 30 beneficiaries of Kaisu village under the supervision of Dr Debasis Sasmal, Senior Scientist cum head in-charge.
He gave details about the probable disease outbreak of poultry and duck and advised on developing model farm on duck/poultry farming with proper management.
The beneficiaries were also trained on ways to apply vaccines by themselves in times of emergencies.
The programme aims to vaccinate 1600 poultry birds and ducks against viral diseases.
