ITANAGAR, Feb 21: The All Arunachal Pradesh Petroleum Workers’ Union (AAPPWU) has on Tuesday last lodged an FIR with the Yazali Police Station against two unknown miscreants for assaulting the driver and handyman of a truck on 17 February in between Potin-Yazali road.
The union in its complaint letter alleged that two unknown miscreants on a motorbike bearing registration no. AR-01D-3685 allegedly stopped a truck carrying empty LPG cylinders, which was on its way to Kimin IOC bottling plant from Ziro, and assaulted the truck’s driver and handyman and damaged the truck.
It had also informed that the victims are currently undergoing medical treatment at Dirjoo in Assam.
Strongly condemning the assault, the union appealed to the law enforcing agency to nab the assaulters at the earliest and award them with stringent punishment.
