PASIGHAT, Feb 22: An eight-day-long training for farmers on ‘Advances in Production Technology of Selected Agri-Horti Crops’, organized by College of Agriculture, CAU, Pasighat in association with College of Horticulture and Forestry, CAU, Pasighat and KVK, East Siang, College of Horticulture and Forestry, CAU, Pasighat, began here on Wednesday last.
Sponsored by ICAR-ATARI, Zone-VII, Umiam, Barapani under the aegis of Director of Extension Education, CAU, Imphal, the training was inaugurated by Dean of the College, Prof BN Hazarika.
Highlighting the importance of the training programme, Prof Hazarika, who is also the course director of the training said that the training is intended to support the farmers in giving them firsthand information about developed technologies, package of practices and recent advances in crop production of important agricultural and horticultural crops of location specific importance.
