DC urges students to strive for excellence

ITANAGAR, Mar 5: Capital Complex Deputy Commissioner Prince Dhawan urged the student community to strive for excellence in life through hard work.
Addressing the students at a prize distribution ceremony at his conference hall here on Monday, the deputy commissioner advised them to always aspire to do the best whatever they do.
Stating that students are the future of the nation, Dhawan urged them to be an example for others to follow. He also encouraged them to take part in co-curricular activities for overall development along with their regular studies.
He further told them about the importance of maintaining strict discipline during student life.
Briefing about the importance of cleanliness, the DC said that every student is a cleanliness volunteer and has the responsibility of keeping their surroundings clean.
He informed that the district administration is ready to provide all kind of support and cooperation to the students. It is in the process of providing separate toilets for boys and girls in every school. Moreover, any shortage of desk and benches would also be met within the next few months, he said, and asked the students to write him directly about their needs and problems.
During the programme, the DC handed over prizes/certificates to the winners of various literary and cultural competitions that were held during the celebration of 32nd Statehood Day at Indira Gandhi Park Itanagar.
The programme was attended by DDSE Mallo Yam Gollo, DDMO Moromi Dodum Sonam, APO DDSE’s Office Kipa Kechek, DTO (Education) CBD Singh and the headmasters, principals, teachers and parents of all the students. (DIPRO)
