TEZU, Mar 17: Lohit Deputy Commissioner-cum-Chairman District Health Society, Karma Leki has urged all the departments and stakeholders to work with sincerity and commitment in order to achieve 100 percent coverage in the ensuing National De-worming Day.
He was addressing a District Task Force for Immunization (DTFI) meeting on Saturday.
Lauding the department of Health and Family Welfare, Tezu and all departments and individuals for achieving 100 percent Measles-Rubella Vaccination Campaign (MRVC) coverage, the DC expressed hope that the tradition will continue for other rounds of immunizations as well.
He also assured all possible help and assistance from the district administration to the campaign.
Meanwhile, a one-day review meeting of the District Vector Borne Disease Control Programme (DVBDCP) of Lohit district was also held.
Addressing the meeting, DVBDCO, Dr S Towang elaborated on various strategies of the NVBDCP at various levels of national framework for elimination of malaria by 2027.
In the meeting, issues like nature of duties at various levels were discussed in length regarding diagnosis, treatment and vector management, record and report. Difficulties in programme implementation at various level and solutions were also discussed mainly regarding IRS.
Speaking on the occasion, DMO cum Vice Chairman, District Health
Society, Dr Sajingla Chai Pul urged all the staffs to work hard and refrain from irregularities in their duties.
