Longding gets KVK

LONGDING, Mar 18: Arunachal Pradesh got another Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) at Longding on Saturday, bringing the total number of KVKs in the state to 16.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday laid the foundation stone of the KVK, along with 24 others in 13 states.
The event in New Delhi was webcast live at the multipurpose hall here.
Longding ADC Tage Ekke urged the farmers to make best use of the modern scientific technologies provided by the KVKs for higher production.
Nodal officer (ICAR) Dr T Samajdhar highlighted the activities of the KVKs, which provide various types of farm support to the agricultural sector for the benefit of the farmers.
Gerik Bagra, Senior Scientist and Head of KVK Longding hailed the people of Niaunu village for donating the land for establishment of the KVK at Longding.
Superintendent of Police Rohit Meena, PRI leaders and heads of departments were also present on the occasion.
