ITANAGAR, Mar 18: A five-day workshop on filmmaking was organised here on 17 March by the Satyajit Roy Film and Television Institute (SRFTI) Kolkata, in collaboration with the state department of Information and Public Relations.
IPR & Printing Special Secretary, Himanshu Gupta informed that the state government has been taking initiatives to create a culture of promoting cinema activities and its development in the state, and encouraged the youth to develop the art and skill of making feature and documentary films.
Gupta also asked the participants to take the course seriously and acquire knowledge from the resource persons to put them into proper use.
In all, 24 participants from the state capital and nearby areas are participating in the workshop.
Earlier, IPR Director Obang Tayeng, FTI Itanagar Coordinator, Prof Debashis Guha and FTI Itanagar Nodal Officer Prof Amresh Chakravarty also spoke.
