AYA resents Rijiju’s failure to meet

ZIRO, Mar 19: The Apatani Youth Association (AYA) has expressed its strong resentment over Minister of State for Home Affairs, Kiren Rijiju’s alleged failure to spare time to meet a delegation of the association during his visit to Ziro on Sunday.
“He, being a union minister is a busy man and he might have got some tight schedule. But, he could have spared a few minutes as we had been eagerly waiting for an appointment since early morning,” said the AYA in a release.
According to AYA, it intended to meet the union minister to know what development has he brought for the Apatani community till date “rather than lip services.”
Stating that its press statement was purely apolitical, AYA said, “Rijiju’s attitude compelled us to conclude that his visit to Ziro was purely political and not in the interest of the community”.
